​At this year’s Summer Institute, we plan to ponder what is in our future. What is coming toward us in the next stages of our lives? Stepping into more inheritance, more power? Having less control over our children’s lives? Or possibly our own? How might changes in the economy and our portfolios affect our lives? This includes looking at a taboo topic - facing the death of people around us, and ultimately our own. Our intention is that these explorations will increase our ability to meet our futures with freedom, ease, and peace. 

  

Some of the things we'll be invited to explore together are:

· What is it hard to let go of? What keeps us from letting go? 

​

· What do you want the impact of your money to be on others, and the world, now and after you are gone? 

​

· How do you want to spend your time? 

​

· How do you want to use your money? How can it make life better for you, and all you care about?

 

We are excited about new formats this year, including a Money Café and a Death Café. Both will offer us time and space to talk openly and informally about these often-difficult subjects. We will also explore using theater-based exercises and games to discover new perspectives on thorny issues, as well as ways to observe and practice different approaches to them.

 

Summer Institute’s practices create a safe place to share our old stories and explore potential new stories and strategies that support moving forward into a more fulfilling life.
